Dr. Stephen Popp is the Head of The John Cooper School, ranked in the top 1% of private K-12 schools in America.
The mission of the John Cooper School is to provide a challenging education in a caring environment to a diverse group of select students, enabling them to become critical and creative thinkers, effective communicators, responsible citizens and leaders, and lifelong learners.
Dr. Popp has over 25 years of experience in education, including serving as the Upper School Faculty member and Dean of Students at St. John’s School.
Dr. Popp holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Baylor University, a Master of Arts in History from the University of Houston, and a Master of Education in Independent School Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. He also earned a Doctor of Education in Leadership, Learning and Organizations from Vanderbilt University.
